INTRODUCTION
UMD Environmental Services (Pty) Ltd (UMDES) was established by Abdul Ghakeem Davids in 2018. Abdul was part of Ludgar Consulting (Pty) Ltd covering the mining sector. Prior to this he was an EAP at DJ Environmental Consultant working extensively in the development sector. He has been operating in the environmental sector for 14 years. UMDES is a level 1 BEE company with who prides themselves delivering excellent services to its clients. UMDES delivers a full range of serves required under the NEMA regulation. Previous and Current clients range from one-man operations to multinational companies. The consultancy also covers the full range of services related to environmental sector and offers a cradle to grave solution to most processes.
MISSION STATEMENT
We want to build a consultancy firm that distinguish itself by adding value to a client’s business and to deliver superior environmental solutions in time and cost-conscious manner.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
To offer clients a 1 stop service for their needs in the environmental sector. Paramount is building a trust relationship with our clients and offering an above average service. We would want to build a client base loyalty and value-added service to the client’s core business.

A combined 20 years of experience consulting in the industry. The company offers a diverse range of expertise to the clients. UMDES also maintain a significant network of specialists in the industry for use on projects.

Abdul Ghakeem Davids holds a B.A Geography and Environmental Studies degree from the University of Western Cape majoring in Geography, Town Planning and Environmental Studies

Rashaad Salie holds a BA. Environmental Sustainability Studies and Geography. Rashaad graduated from the University of Western Cape in 2020.

Daniels
Rughshana Daniels holds a B.Sc. degree in Environmental and Geographical Science from UCT and Honours Degree in Environmental Management.
